Job description
As the Commercial Planning Manager for EEMEA, you will be the crucial point person between the commercial business in EEMEA and the Supply team. You will provide clear and consistent communication regarding current backorder and supply issues while setting expectations about what customers and sales reps can expect regarding future product availability. You will create and improve standardized processes to continually reduce the time and effort needed to provide visibility to product supply. You will gather feedback, questions, and needs from the commercial team and serve as the spokesperson for sales and marketing to ensure needs are met in a timely manner and product is allocated to customers in a manner that minimizes disruption and maximizes business impact. Additionally, you are responsible for the creation of improved processes to gain better visibility on supply/demand gaps that may result in backorder and/or customer impact.
What you will do:
Commercial Planning:
- Lead the development of supply planning allocation of restricted availability products and commercial plans.
- Analyze supply requirements, sales data, and market risk
Support scenario planning and provide insights to optimize strategies for goods allocation.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track backorders and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to senior franchise managers and commercial teams.
Sales Process Improvement:
- Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline commercial operations and reduce bottlenecks
- Ensure alignment of sales processes with broader business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with commercial teams to provide insights on open orders that support strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, local Operations to align commercial plans and initiatives.
- Follow up with Operations goods allocation and performance of supplier allocation commitments
- Act as a key liaison between commercial teams and other departments to ensure cohesive execution.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
Minimum 8 years of professional work experience including 4 years in a analytics, supply, or demand role (or equivalent) where knowledge is demonstrated, and experience gained in cross-functional collaboration or supply chain processes.
Knowledge of sales forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, operations, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain issues. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred
ERP knowledge (SAP/ Oracle)
