Job description
The Manager for the Collection and Portfolio Administration function oversees the entire debt collection process for Flex Financial, including working with and being the primary contact with our 3rd party servicing partner and funding partners on collection issues, managing customer interactions, negotiating payment arrangements, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with collection laws, while monitoring and reporting on overall collection performance to achieve targeted debt recovery goals. The Manager is also expected to develop measures of success for the Team, track the measures, and provide reporting to senior leadership.
What you will do
- Partner with Third Party Servicer (Great America) and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collection
- Set payment collection goals and targets for the department and third-party servicer
- Implement collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit
- Escalate collection attempts when 3rd party servicer reached the limit of their capabilities
- Negotiate with customers in cases when nonpayment occur
- Prepare monthly feedback reports on payment collections/delinquency
- Maintain (and develop as needed) standardized policies and procedures around collection
- Train and develop Collection and Portfolio Administrators
- Communicate and implement any policy or procedure changes
- Remain informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection
What you need
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience r
- 8+ years professional experience
- Collections experience in equipment finance and or a leasing environment
- Experience implementing collection strategies for multiple customer segments
Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a collection role
- Experience implementing processes and procedures to optimize production
- Experience building dashboards, capturing performance/ collection data variances
$100,500- $215,300 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location.
