Job description
What You Will Do
- Provide surgeons and operating room and other related departments staff with training and support during operation of robotic arm applications, associated equipment, disposables and instruments to ensure ideal placement and precision.
- Use proprietary software to prepare pre-operative CT scans for use in conjunction with the company's RIO/ Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System, assists surgeon in preoperative implant planning, implant sizing and positioning. Obtain purchase orders for products consumed during surgical procedures and maintains and tracks consigned inventories of company's products.
- Provide complete reports and associated metrics to management, direct supervisor and company's regulatory department detailing case reviews, services and recommendations for product, documentation and methodology improvements, processes sales orders and provides forecast input to Business Development Manager.
- Provide prompt and accurate complaint reports per MAKO’s quality system. Solve product problems for customers in an expeditious manner.
- Provide case coverage at unassigned accounts.
- Support the development and execution of the sales plan as well as grow the utilization of the MAKO system by increasing volume with current and potential surgeons actively selling the clinical benefits of the products, and build strong, positive relationships with key surgeons and Operating Room staff collaborating with Sales Representatives and Marketing.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate with all levels of a medical department (Head of Dept., surgeons, nurses, surgical techs, central sterile processing techs, radiology)
- Support with conventional surgeries, when needed.
What You Will Need
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical or clinical field of study preferably Biomedical Engineering or Medical Engineering
- 2-3 years of Operating Room experience (Joint Replacement)
- Fluent English language skills (Spoken & Written) is a must!
- Use of computer and MS Office tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and a proven history of ability to make independent decisions
- Comfortable in Operating Room environment
- Travel may vary 50% up to 80% depending on assignment with extended working hours.
