About the job:
The Medical Education & Professional Affairs Lead Specialist develops and executes strategies that advance healthcare professional education, strengthen clinical partnerships, and drive the safe and effective adoption of our technologies. This role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver evidence-based education, engage key opinion leaders, build commercial and clinical capability, and ensure all professional interactions align with regulatory and ethical standards.
What you will be doing:
1. Medical Education Strategy and Program Management
- Develop the annual SGMY medical education strategy and program roadmap aligned with HCP, clinical, and business needs.
- Conduct learning-needs assessments and identify gaps in the Medical Education structure.
- Design structured learning pathways across foundational, intermediate, and advanced capability levels.
- Establish program objectives, learner profiles, faculty requirements, delivery formats, and outcome measures.
- Adapt regional or global education programs to local clinical practice and market requirements.
- Independently plan and deliver HCP education.
- Partner with faculty to develop educational content.
- Manage program timelines, vendors, facilities, materials, approvals, documentation, and follow-up.
2. Professional Affairs and KOL Strategy
- Develop and maintain the SGMY KOL and faculty engagement strategy.
- Identify established and emerging clinical leaders based on objective and documented criteria.
- Build a sustainable faculty pipeline.
3. HCP Engagement Governance & Screening
- Serve as the SGMY Medical Education & Professional Affairs lead for HCP engagement governance initiatives, including HCPi.
- Act as the designated reviewer and screening coordinator for HCP profiles, ensuringalignment with company policies and governance requirements.
- Establish and maintain objective criteria for KOL identification, segmentation, faculty selection, and stakeholder prioritization.
- Ensure all HCP information, engagement records, and screening activities are maintained in accordance with applicable privacy, compliance, and company requirements.
4. Budget and Governance
- Develop and manage the annual Medical Education NA budget.
- Ensure HCP selection, contracting, compensation, travel, documentation, and disclosures comply with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, simplify processes, and optimise costs.
5. Cross-functional Leadership
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Clinical, and regional Medical Education teams.
- Provide Medical Education and Professional Affairs input into product launches, annual marketing plans, franchise strategies, and capability-building priorities.
- Share market insights and scalable best practices across East Asia.
Who are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA preferred
- 7+ years of work experience required
- 2+ years medical device or Medical Education experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
- Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
- Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
