Job description

Stryker is seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead Specialist to drive compliance, risk management, and safety culture in our global commercial EHS program. As a Commercial EHS Lead Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to international, federal, state, and local EHS regulations, and advancing the health and safety of our employees. This position is ideal for a proactive professional passionate about EHS excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

  • Data Analytics and Strategy Support:
    • Conduct comprehensive EHS data analysis, including collection and interpretation of key metrics.
    • Present EHS dashboards and trends to leadership, supporting informed strategy and project decision-making.
    • Ensure accuracy and continuous improvement of EHS data, metrics, and reports.
    • Prepare and deliver senior-level reviews of EHS metrics and program updates.
    • Coordinate stakeholder reviews to support EHS goals.
  • Program Management and Standards Development:
    • Support and manage the implementation of global EHS standards and procedures.
    • Review incident reports, conduct follow-ups, and promote risk mitigation strategies.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of EHS regulations; manage EHS administrative and regulatory tasks.
  • Project Collaboration and Budget Management:
    • Engage with project stakeholders to define and refine project scope and objectives.
    • Design and maintain metrics collection requirements, API integrations, and dashboard updates.
    • Collaborate with EHS leadership to monitor and manage project budgets.
    • Work closely with regional EHS teams to deploy initiatives that align with the global EHS strategy.
  • Regional and Functional Collaboration:
    • Facilitate cross-regional collaboration to ensure data and EHS resources meet global and regional needs.
    • Oversee the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program and related compliance.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of work experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in EHS, Engineering, or a Science discipline, or equivalent training and education preferred
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred
  • Willingness to obtain advanced EHS certifications (e.g., MRSO, ASP, OHST, Medical X-Ray)
  • Ability to travel as needed

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engagement with internal staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with data automation and analytics tools to enhance EHS processes.
  • Expertise in EHS incident response, assessment, and data gathering.
  • Basic knowledge of global EHS regulations and workplace risks.
  • Background in project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum) is beneficial.

$77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
