Job description

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain automation solutions (primarily Power Automate) to reduce manual effort in evidence workflows.
  • Implement and maintain REST API integrations to connect systems (e.g., DistillerSR, SharePoint, Power BI) and enable seamless, scheduled data flow.
  • Develop reusable, scalable data pipelines and processes (automated extract → store → refresh cycles).
  • Operationalize agreed data structures; migrate and maintain structured evidence data into controlled, analytics-ready datasets.
  • Implement processes to monitor data quality, keeping data accurate, traceable, and available for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards from CDS-managed datasets to enable scalable reporting and evidence visibility.
  • Enable self-service analytics so stakeholders can access insights without ad-hoc requests.
  • Explore and implement AI-enabled solutions (e.g., agents that transform unstructured clinical report content into structured data).
  • Identify and eliminate manual, repetitive work; document and maintain solutions across updates.
  • Help build repeatable ways of working — shared methods, templates, and clear documentation — so solutions are easy to maintain and reuse across teams and time zones.

What you need

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, data/software engineering, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related).
  • Approximately 6–8+ years of relevant experience in an IT, data engineering, automation, BI, or systems-/business-analytics role.
  • Strong hands-on Power Automate skills, including calling REST APIs from Power Automate.
  • Demonstrated experience building REST API integrations between systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language, ideally Python.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and core relational data concepts.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate effectively across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broader Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Apps) and relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Google, IBM).
  • Python with PySpark; exposure to Azure, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric (data flows / notebooks).
  • Power BI dashboard development.
  • Data modeling and experience building/optimizing data pipelines and architectures.
  • Experience with tools/sources such as SharePoint, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.
  • Prior experience delivering technical solutions in a regulated environment (medical device, pharma, CRO) or with clinical IT systems such as DistillerSR.
