Job description

As the Lead Analyst, you will be supporting the Medical GQO Finance team at the Portage Site and have financial oversight of indirect spend. This role will partner cross-functionally with GQO business unit leadership as well as the Director of Finance for all financial planning and analysis activities. Ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced manufacturing finance environment.

Indirect FP&A Leadership:

  • Lead all aspects of indirect spend management, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.

  • Analyze plant-wide indirect spend to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Provide financial analysis and modelling for strategic projects, new initiatives, and long-term planning efforts

  • Support the monthly close process, including journal entry preparation, review, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Leverage tools and technology to build standardized reports and processes for business partners and leadership team

Business Partnership:

  • Partner closely with Indirect Sourcing, Facilities, R&D/Sustainment Engineering, Quality, Technology, and Corporate/HQ to effectively manage spend and drive cost out of the business

  • Host monthly business reviews with key stakeholders providing analysis, trends, and recommendations

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and analysis for the annual standard cost setting process

  • Partner with IT to drive reporting and system enhancements that automate processes and drive operational efficiencies

  • Collaborate with our Shared Center business partners to ensure compliance and improve our processes

What You Need

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+ years finance, accounting or related experience

Preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations and industry practices.

  • Cost accounting/MFG Finance experience

  • Power BI experience - ability to build dynamic dashboards

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence in Portage, MI three days per week
