What you will do-

The Senior Sourcing Manager will have responsibility for leading cross functional efforts to develop and implement Strategic sourcing plans that include cost reductions initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization, quality improvement, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and supplier management. You will lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for strategic sourcing activities in support of overall divisional business objectives. You will formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. You are a resident expert in strategic sourcing and procurement practices and serves as a mentor to others.

  • Drives cost savings across different suppliers and categories to improve Stryker’s financial standing

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned product launches in support of overall business objectives, including mentorship of others in strategy and goal development

  • Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required. Advises others on selection/cost analysis

  • Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors, and enforces supplier contracts and agreements

  • Authority to drive negotiation with large scale, high impact suppliers

  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses

  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc    

  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and key supplier scorecards and business reviews

What you need-

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field -required       

  • 10 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development – required   

  • Strong, working knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration -required                                                 

  • Strong knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base -required
    Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services  -required

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders, and top management -required

  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally – required

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction methodologies -required

  • Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building -required

$112,800.00 – $239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
