What you will do: 

Technical Responsibilities: 

  • Test changes to existing product portfolio including applications developed in .NET, C/C++, Java and web applications for Windows and Linux operating systems 

  • Develop test plans and execute procedures and scripts for requirements-based testing of medical devices in accordance with internal software development lifecycle requirements in compliance with FDA software development guidance.

  • Work directly with technical leadership and own software testing with responsibility of breaking down work, scheduling, risks, and project updates. 

  • Support existing products by troubleshooting customer issues, installation issues and manufacturing problems 

  • Own cyber-security investigations and assessments 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Customer Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success, both leading and influencing other leaders on the team 

  • Identify and propose improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required 

  • Execute against plan for segments of complex product changes to advance projects through the design /development/launch process 

  • Hold self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities 

  • Mentor, develop and inspire others in current and future roles 

 
What You Need

Minimum Qualifications (Required): 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

  • 2+ years of work experience 

  • Knowledge of configuring and using Windows Server and Linux operating systems 

  • Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, web services / API and testing techniques of web applications.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, configuration, and implementation.

  • Knowledge of cyber-security assessment techniques and tools 

  • Software testing techniques including manual and automated testing

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred): 

  • Experience with verifying and validating software products in an FDA or other regulated industry highly preferred. 

  • Familiar with concepts of design input, design output, traceability, and risk.

  • Cyber-security assessments and tools (Nessus, BurpSuite).

  • Experience with scripting language such as Python.

  • Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium.

  • Experience with Audio and Video (analog/digital) processing, transmission, compression, and encryption.

  • Expert knowledge with networking including switching, routing, sniffing, ports and protocols, and tools (Wireshark, Managed Switch Configuration).

  • Experience managing a VM infrastructure and cloud computing.

  • Experience with PowerShell and Win PE.

  • Certifications including but not limited to Security+, SSCP, Network+, CCNA
