As an IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for developing architectural designs for integrated systems within and across Commercial Platforms. In this role, you will partner with Business Analysts and Technical Analysts to understand the overall business need, define overarching requirements, and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms and develop an architectural design and model that will support Stryker’s business needs. You will also be responsible for verifying the detailed technical documents, validating the configuration within the assigned applications, and ensuring solutions are delivered based on the architected design.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes.
  • Lead solution development and implementation for new systems and enhancements and participate in defining technical standards for the specialty area.
  • Lead architectural design aspects within the Salesforce.com platform area maintaining knowledge of new technologies within the Sales, Service, Revenue Management and Marketing spaces.
  • Review, analyze and recommend architecture and performance recommendations, to identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance, and technical efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Solution Leads and Solution Analysts within the team or same project/program.
  • Be able to support the business and recommend/provide holistic solutions that integrate the existing technical standards with the business needs and processes.
  • Assist in choosing the right technology platform for implementing an architected solution.
  • Serve as domain expert in all aspects of architecting, designing, and application development.
  • Formulate design and deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability for Stryker systems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the systems development concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Write specifications, develops architectural concepts and artifacts such as ERD and Data Flow diagrams.
  • Have a financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities, and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading resources for projects preferred.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of the SFDC architecture and major modules (configuration, processes, integration including add-on products) as well as the current/future Commercial product portfolio strategy required.
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of global system rollouts – strategy, planning, vendor selection and implementation planning.
  • Knowledge of and ability to drive IT methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization.
  • Experience with process mapping, documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
  • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive business results required.

$135,400 – $221,400 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
