Job description

IT Solution Architect – Salesforce and ServiceMax

Technical Architect, SFDC and ServiceMax Platform will be responsible for creating & delivering CRMs and workflow solutions architecture/design using Salesforce/Apex, Force, Visualforce, Aura & LWC components, Field service using ServiceMax. The individual will be responsible for the application design, development and support of Salesforce related projects, review the detailed design, ensure the arch/design accurately meets the defined best practices of the Commercial Global platform. He will Partner with Stryker Middleware, Enterprise Architecture, ERP, Master Data, and other teams to ensure best practices and design patterns are established and followed for integrations to/from SFDC, ServiceMax platform and ecosystems.

What you will do:

  • Schedule and Perform Technical Review Checkpoint meetings to confirm standards are followed and ensure consistency of design and data model usage in all projects
  • Document technical review outcomes, recommendations, and actions items and then follow-up with project teams to ensure actions are completed
  • Ensure limited resources within SaaS platform are utilized to the greatest combined benefit to Stryker
  • Partner with Stryker Middleware, Enterprise Architecture, ERP, Master Data, and other teams to ensure best practices and design patterns are established and followed for integrations to/from SFDC, ServiceMax platform and ecosystems
  • Perform technical analysis as directed on specific topics in any of the aforementioned areas and create recommendations with options, pros and cons, and provide them to the Stryker Platform Owner to make final decisions
  • Maintain a backlog of technical debt for the Org and facilitate working objectives for continuous improvement back into existing funded workstreams so we pay down those debts
  • Either implement decisions made by the platform owner or ensure that those decisions are implemented by respective development team members
  • Create and/or maintain Platform level documentation and microsites with contents about Standards, Best Practices, Design Patterns, Reference Architectures, Integration Topologies, and other similar output
  • Generally advocate the philosophies of the Technical Governance team with all interactions associated to Stryker Projects, Enhancements, Production Support, Business Requirements, Design, and Build
  • Facilitate adjustments to integrations if/when SFDC, ServiceMax Meta Data changes or version upgrades create impacts
  • Design and develop integrations between Salesforce.com (SFDC) , ServiceMax andother applications/systems such as SAP, and other applications as needed.
  • Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture

What you will need:

  • At least 12 years of technology experience with hands-on knowledge of SFDC and  ServiceMax design, development and implementation.
  • Experience in designing, coding, developing, integrating and implementing Salesforce, comprising web & mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform using Visualforce, Lightning framework, Apex and other available tools.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments like Azure DevOps, SVN etc.
  • Knowledge of and ability to drive IS methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred.
