Our offer to you
We are offering an internship in Interactive Guidance for Navigated Spinal/Cranial Surgery.
You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes for our Surgical Navigation System and support our team with your proof-of-concept application.
You will be an active member of our international and interdisciplinary research and development team.
You will implement your solution using C++ or Python and Matlab and evaluate it in an ecosystem consisting of state-of-the-art navigation and imaging systems.
You will learn and apply the latest technologies in machine vision, computer graphics, human-computer interaction and interactive systems.
You will conduct independent research in the surgery room environment to find out how innovative ideas can be applied in a value-adding way.
That makes you stand out
You are studying towards a master’s degree in computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable subject.
You have experience with test setups and object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C/C++), script languages (e.g. Python, Matlab) or libraries (OpenCV, VTK, Qt, DCMTK).
You have a good grasp of mathematics.
You want to tackle challenging problems in medical engineering.
You are known among friends and fellow students for your initiative and flexibility.
You have a good command of English and ideally a good command of German.
You work independently, are highly motivated and committed, and are prepared to take on responsibility quickly.
