In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our R&D team focusing on development of AI-based solutions for advanced surgical planning for navigation in robot-assisted orthopaedic surgery. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a cutting-edge solution for computer-assisted surgery that can have a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Take an active, hands-on role in the development of SW features and solutions that directly impact patient outcomes.

  • Engage in complex problem-solving tasks, systematically identify challenges, and brainstorm innovative solutions.

  • Design, develop, and implement software components using C++ on a Linux platform.

  • Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, biomedical specialists, and domain experts.

  • Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics.

  • Document and present findings, designs, and results.

That makes you stand out:

  • You are currently enrolled in a master's program in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field.

  • You demonstrate a strong interest in medical technology and healthcare software.

  • You possess practical experience with C++ and Python.

  • You have a strong foundation in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning.

  • Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques is a plus.

  • You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • You have good communication and documentation skills in English.

Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
