Your Mission

Help shape the future of surgical navigation and digital healthcare. As part of Stryker's Research & Development team, you will contribute to innovative projects that combine artificial intelligence, medical imaging, and advanced software technologies to support neurosurgical procedures. This Medical Technology Internship offers the opportunity to work on real-world healthcare challenges, collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers, and develop technical skills that will support your future career in medical technology, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, or software development. Gain hands-on experience, take ownership of meaningful projects, and contribute to solutions that help improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development and evaluation of innovative software prototypes for surgical navigation systems

  • Contribute to medical technology proof-of-concept projects focused on artificial intelligence and digital healthcare solutions

  • Develop and improve software applications using C++, Python, and MATLAB

  • Explore and apply machine learning, geometric algorithms, information retrieval, and medical imaging technologies

  • Collaborate with an international Research & Development team to transform innovative ideas into solutions for healthcare professionals

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with C++, Python, or MATLAB

  • Familiarity with Qt, OpenCV, or comparable software development frameworks

  • Curiosity for medical technology innovation and interest in applying technology to healthcare challenges

  • Very good English language skills (C1)

Germany Pay Range:

  • Freiburg 39Std: €2.476,89 EUR Monthly
