Job description
What You Will Do
As the Health Economics Manager, you will provide cross-functional or cross-divisional technical expertise on health economics, reimbursement & market access for Stryker’s products, manage projects from beginning to end and assist with the development and training of sales/marketing support tools related to the reimbursement and economic value messaging for Stryker’s products
Develop and oversee value-based resources (e.g., value summaries, calculators) and clinical-economic evidence (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
Manage vendor projects (e.g., Optum, Premier) to support market access through health economic models and claims analysis.
Analyze access and reimbursement trends impacting Stryker products and anticipate healthcare landscape changes.
Provide independent analysis to support cross-functional teams in developing value messaging, reimbursement, and coverage strategies.
Lead and deliver coding, coverage, and reimbursement strategies, including education, tools, and internal/external support.
Keep Stryker informed on coding, coverage, and reimbursement issues through strategic communication initiatives.
Execute health economic and reimbursement strategies to secure appropriate reimbursement from government and private payors.
Conduct coding and coverage research using payor websites, industry resources (AMA, CMS), and expert insights.
What You Need
Required
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years in health economics, epidemiology, health services, or related field
Preferred
3+ years experience in reimbursement, medical billing and claims analysis
Experience writing abstracts and manuscripts and creating posters and presentations for key opinion leaders to present at conferences
$115,600 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors
