Financial Accountant - Royalties Specialist

What you will do:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/yearly royalty calculations
• Communicate with various parties (legal, tax, R&D, divisional finance) to obtain royalty contracts and verify the completeness and accuracy of calculations in accordance with contractual terms
• Prepare invoices/credit memos and follow up on outstanding payments with I2P teams
• Calculate and review monthly royalty accruals
• Create and submit withholding tax forms for approval
• Perform general ledger accounting operations for month-end close activities including posting journal entries, and preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensures accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
• Executing controls (SOX)
• First point of contact for stakeholders on royalty inquiries (including key customers and internal directors)  
• Support on audit queries (external and internal)
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Coaching team members and reviewing calculations prepared by junior staff

What you need:

• Minimum Bachelor/HBO in Accounting or equivalent certification
• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting position
• Communication, be able to effectively interact with all levels within the company
• Fluent spoken and written English (including reviewing business contracts in English)
• Strong Excel skills
• Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
• Accustomed to work on dynamic, fast paced environment
• Familiar with internal control concepts and accrual accounting standards
• Shared Service experience is preferred
• Experience in ERP systems
