Job description

The mission of the Financial Accountant R2R is to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company’s books, records and financial reports (local and USGAAP). 

What you will do


As a Financial Accountant your main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

  • Performs accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements
  • Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
  • Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports
  • Liaises with internal and external auditors
  • Prepares and submits VAT declarations and other compliance filings
  • Executing controls (SOX)
  • Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects
  • Supports Junior Accountants

What you need

  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Intermediate French is also required
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent certification 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting (e.g., GL, A2R)
  • Knowledge of USGAAP would be an advantage
  • Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or other internal control concepts
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in ERP systems

Valuable Competencies 

  • Accustomed to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment: experience in a multinational firm or shared service center is a plus
  • Energetic, team-oriented and proactive
  • High level of honesty, commitment and responsibility
  • Able to effectively communicate across different levels within the company
