Job description
Join a role where your technical expertise directly impacts patient care and hospital performance. As a Technical Services Field Engineer, you will ensure critical medical equipment operates at the highest standard while partnering closely with healthcare professionals. This is a dynamic position combining onsite leadership and regional field support, offering strong autonomy and tangible impact.
What you will do
- Deliver onsite technical service at Kuopio Hospital (minimum 3 days per week), ensuring full compliance with service contracts and performance standards
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and functional testing on medical devices in line with manufacturer guidelines and internal quality standards
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective actions to maximise equipment uptime and meet contractual KPIs
- Provide technical training, product briefings, and real-time support to clinical staff to ensure safe and effective equipment use
- Manage spare parts, calibration processes, and external service partners to maintain service continuity
- Document all service activities, maintenance records, and compliance data accurately within required systems and timelines
- Travel across Northern Finland to support field service operations, completing maintenance and repairs across customer sites
- Identify and implement service quality improvements, contributing to process enhancements and operational efficiency
What you will need
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Medical, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical technology, field service engineering, or a healthcare technical environment
- Valid driving licence
- Fluency in Finnish and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting medical devices in operating theatre environments
- Certification or formal training in medical device servicing or calibration
- Experience working within regulated healthcare or hospital environments
Additional Information
- Work arrangement: Hybrid role with minimum 60% onsite presence (Kuopio Hospital) and approximately 30% field-based across Northern Finland
- Travel requirement: Regular regional travel required
- This is an individual contributor role with high autonomy and responsibility
