The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and technical support of a broad portfolio of Stryker medical technologies, ensuring our customers receive timely and high-quality service.
A key aspect of this position is the ability to independently plan and manage your service schedule across your territory. You will take full ownership of organizing customer visits, balancing preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and administrative activities while adapting to customer needs and priorities.
The territory covers mainly, but not exclusively, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Sardinia, with regular travel throughout the region. It will be also required to participate in international training abroad, when needed. Candidates based in Florence (preferred) or Bologna are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and calibration of Stryker electronic and mechanical equipment.
Install new systems and support software and hardware upgrades.
Deliver technical training to internal teams and customers where required.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Stryker quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Planning & Administration
Independently plan and manage your annual service schedule across your assigned territory.
Coordinate customer visits efficiently while accommodating operational priorities and customer availability.
Complete accurate service documentation and maintain traceability using internal reporting tools.
Manage administrative tasks related to field activities, including reporting and service documentation.
Customer Support
Build strong professional relationships with hospital staff and key stakeholders.
Provide technical support to customers, Product Managers, and the Sales team.
Escalate technical issues appropriately and ensure timely follow-up on customer requests.
Deliver an excellent customer experience through professional, responsive, and solution-oriented communication.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
1–3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical service role.
Experience servicing medical devices or other complex technical equipment is highly valued.
Experience working in hospital environments is considered an advantage.

Fluent Italian.
English at B2 level or above, with the ability to participate in international training and communicate confidently with global colleagues.
Other Requirements
Valid driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively across Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Sardinia, including extended stays in Sardinia when required as well as other close regions.
Willingness to travel abroad for international training when required.

Travel Requirements
This is a field-based position requiring travels mainly, but not exclusively, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Sardinia, with regular travel throughout the regions. It will be also required to participate in international training abroad, when needed. The role includes regular customer visits to hospitals and healthcare facilities, with extended periods in Sardinia as business needs require.
Location
Preferred location: Florence (ideal) or Bologna.
Italy Pay Range:
Italy: €32,000 – €38,000 EUR Annual
