Executive Assistant to President, Europe, Latin America, Canada, and EEMEA
From our Amsterdam office, the Executive Assistant will support Stryker’s regional President of Europe, EEMEA, LATAM, and Canada in managing daily operations, team communications, and special projects. Key responsibilities include executive administrative duties, report and presentation preparation, team meeting coordination, diary management, and project oversight.
The role requires independent judgment and discretion in tasks such as drafting documents, managing correspondence, and organizing meetings. It also involves gathering, verifying, and analyzing information for reports, speeches, presentations, and press releases.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities across different time zones while maintaining attention to detail. Strong initiative, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information are essential for success in this role.
What you will do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the President, providing confidential daily support and managing their calendar efficiently
- Maintain and organize databases of correspondence, reports, and presentations, ensuring the proper handling and storage of sensitive and confidential information
- Coordinate all aspects of travel arrangements, itineraries, meetings, and appointments, including regular executive 1:1s, team meetings, business reviews, town halls, and other key events
- Handle administrative tasks related to processing travel and expense reports
- Oversee and manage budgets for business travel, events, expense reports, and reservations, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to guidelines
Communications
- Prepare high-level reports, presentations, and documents for the President, including materials for team meetings and executive reviews
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop communication strategies and content for the President, ensuring alignment with company priorities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including processing letters, reports, and distributing materials to appropriate parties
Project Management
- Lead project management efforts for critical strategic initiatives identified by the President, ensuring projects are tracked, monitored, and delivered on schedule
- Organize regular project review meetings and ensure accountability among project teams to meet their milestones and deadlines
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as required, ensuring smooth execution and successful outcomes
What you need:
Required:
- 5+ years of work experience particularly supporting C-suite required
- Proven experience in an executive assistant role, particularly supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint – demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including complex document preparation (e.g., mail merges), advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g., VLOOKUP), and professional-level presentation creation
- Proficient in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills to ensure smooth operations
- Demonstrates sound judgment in applying professional expertise and is capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Maintains a high standard of work with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Exercises discretion and always ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information
Preferred:
- At least 3 years’ experience in an Executive Administrative role preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Administrative Professional, Project Management Professional) can be an asset
- Project management experience is highly desirable
