Job description
What you will do -
With limited supervision, constructs, assembles, and repairs equipment and/or prototype products. In addition, using Additive manufacturing and Subtractive manufacturing techniques, create and modify prototype products for New Product Development.
Build experimental apparatus, instrumentation or systems of moderate complexity
Construct and inspect components and/or subassemblies of experimental apparatus or prototype model
Will effectively interpret blueprints and CAD models to determine and apply proper manufacturing process.
Submit periodic reports to supervisor on assigned topics
Will be required to comply with documentation procedures
Work from engineering schematics and/or verbal instructions
Perform skilled tasks independently
Coordinate with Sr./Staff Technicians and or direct manager on priority scheduling
Will be expected to train and mentor junior personnel
What you need –
Required –
High school diploma
6+ years related technical experience
Preferred –
Department of Labor certification (Machining)
Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must have very good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills
