In an effort to support the hiring of U.S. veterans, Stryker is proud to announce we joined the 100,000 Jobs Mission in 2014. The 100,000 Jobs Mission began in 2011 as a coalition of 11 companies committed to hire 100,000 veterans by 2020. Since then, the coalition has grown to more than 200 companies representing almost every industry in the American economy. Each company has committed to hire veterans, report their hiring number on a quarterly basis and share best practices. In 2015, the 100,000 Jobs Mission was renamed Veteran Jobs Mission. Together, the companies have hired almost 400,000 veterans, more than quadruple the original goal! Building on this momentum, the Mission has raised its goal - pledging to hire 1 Million U.S. military veterans. As a member, Stryker is committed to helping the coalition meet its goal. Being a part of the Veteran Jobs Mission is another step in our focus on creating a diverse and successful culture - making Stryker a great place to work!

When should I apply? Transitioning veterans should apply for an open position 2-3 months prior to their available date. In addition, transitioning veterans are recommended to attend a Stryker recruiting event and join our talent network 6-12 months prior to their transition date.

What Stryker roles would be the best match for a veteran's background? While we have veterans serving in almost all functional areas at Stryker, the majority of our veterans are serving in operations management, project management, engineering, supply chain management, sales, marketing, finance, and technician roles.

Application Process

Stryker's selection and hiring process is unique — probably unlike any other you've experienced. We embrace individual strengths — for us, it's what you can do, not only what you have done.Understanding candidates' experience, education, skills, career desires and individual talents is a very important part of our hiring process, so our evaluation involves several steps ranging from online, phone and face-to-face interviews. Stryker provides equal employment opportunities for all.

Application Steps:

  • Apply online. You are invited to apply to as many positions that you are interested in.
  • You will receive an automatic email notification that confirms we received your application. After your application is complete we will send you an email with a link to a questionnaire to complete. It is important to note that you cannot be considered until this questionnaire has been filled out.
  • Recruiters will review the applications, resumes and any other required information submitted for each open position and identify candidates that meet their specific needs.
  • If you meet Stryker's current needs, a recruiter will contact you to begin the interview process.
  • The interview process may include a phone interview with the Gallup Organization. The Gallup interview helps us place the right people in the right positions according to their individual talents and strengths. The interview also helps us to understand each applicant's fit to our work environment so that we can make the best choice for both the applicant and Stryker.
  • The interview may also include a recorded video interview through the Montage platform. By using this feature it enables our recruiting team to be able to reach a larger pool of candidates. Never used a feature like this in an interview process? That's ok! Montage provides tools and tips for you to use before you proceed with your video interview!
  • You may also be invited to interview with us at one or more of our facilities.
  • If you do not meet Stryker's current needs, your resume will remain in our database for a period of time as required by local data privacy regulations and, if a future opening matches your qualifications, we will not hesitate to be in contact with you.
