It’s Time to Join Stryker!
As part of Stryker's Endoscopy R&D team, you will lead the development and design of cutting-edge electrical subsystems for innovative medical devices. This role focuses on FPGA design, offering you the chance to work on high-impact projects that enhance surgical outcomes. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team to drive advanced product designs from concept through launch, while influencing the future of minimally invasive technology. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering and will require close partnership with internal teams to ensure product excellence.
What You Will Do
- You will lead the design and development of electrical components, subsystems, and systems for advanced medical devices.
- You will mentor and guide junior engineers in FPGA and digital design, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.
- You will conduct and oversee testing, prototyping, and verification of electrical subsystems to ensure performance, safety, and reliability.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into technical specifications and system-level designs.
- You will identify and implement solutions to complex design challenges while maintaining project timelines.
- You will lead technology explorations and provide insights that influence future product development.
- You will ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements and contribute to maintaining the Design History File.
- You will plan and lead design reviews, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project objectives.

- You will provide on-time delivery of high-quality electrical subsystem designs that meet performance and safety requirements.
- You will establish effective mentorship and development of junior engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- You will make positive contributions to cross-functional team dynamics, leading to successful product launches.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required
- 6+ years of experience in electrical design required
Preferred Qualifications:
- FPGA development and digital design.
- Proficiency with FPGA design tools (Vivado, ALDEC Active HDL) and coding languages (Verilog, VHDL).
- Experience with high-speed circuit design, timing analysis, and PCB design considerations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and testing methods for medical devices.
- Familiarity with power estimation and optimization techniques for energy-efficient designs.
- Experience in digital logic implementation, embedded processors, and system architecture.
- Knowledge of simulation tools for signal integrity and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience leading cross-functional design reviews and contributing to technical roadmaps.

$127,400 - $210,000 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
