Job description
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Early Commercial Talent, this role will execute the early commercial talent strategy with the objective to increase the commercial talent succession pipeline depth and diversity through a focus on student athletes.
- Create a deeper, more sustainable partnership with those athletic administrators tasked with student-athlete professional development.
- Design approach and best practices for planning, recruiting, and pipelining early talent into entry level commercial positions.
- Collaborate with recruiting teams by delivering customer focused designs, innovative solutions, data-driven recommendations, and long-term focused initiatives to execute with exceptional results.
- Partner with key stakeholders across all facets of HR to aid in the continuous improvement of our candidate and employee experiences
- Design, test, measure, and lead new approaches to attracting diverse slates. Educate and empower with best practices for building diverse pipelines.
- Deliver a continuous pipeline of high performing, diverse candidates efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct research and analysis to provide talent insights and drive decisions. Benchmark talent best practices to monitor and evaluate progress.
- Assess successes and opportunities through a regular cadence of meetings with key stakeholders.
- Partner to diversify talent pipelines with external / industry experts to source high caliber talent.
- Research and identify external current / former athlete focused organizations and build partnerships. Coordinate our attendance at events and conferences to create new, and existing sourcing channels.
- Think strategically, purposefully and with innovative perspective on opportunities and recommendations to solve future and current talent challenges with early commercial talent focused solutions.
- Build collaborative, trusting relationships to effect change.
- Meet with athletic administrators virtually and in-person to give them a greater understanding and knowledge base of Stryker Corporation.
- Deliver presentations to Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at individual institutions as well as work with varying athletic conference offices (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA) to expand the overall footprint of Stryker Corporation within intercollegiate athletics.
- Meet with interested student-athletes virtually and in-person to inform them of opportunities available within the Stryker organization.
- Create monthly communication distributed via email to prospective student-athletes that provides an update on Stryker Corporation culture and organization.
- Utilize knowledge of intercollegiate athletics to access a greater number of elite and talented student-athletes multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business.
- Host sessions and/or webinars to provide information on Stryker Corporation, hiring process and deliver success stories former student-athletes have with the organization.
- Maintain a database of prospective student-athlete candidates, including type of role, desired location and area/division interests as well as assessment result.
- Build much needed awareness among college students of Stryker and the MedTech industry.
- Operationalize and professionalize the field-based talent attraction activities currently taking place across the company.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum requirements
- 4+ years of work experience required
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience preferred
- Exposure, experience, understanding of collegiate athletics departments preferred
- Established relationships with collegiate athletics administration preferred

- Must be able to multitask and bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision

Compensation
- $82,800 - $132,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
