Basic purpose of role/Why the job exists:

  • Collaborate with Global Peers in Designing patient-specific implants.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive supporting documentation, review other Design Engineers cases, and create feedback documents as needed.
  • Ensure quality adherence to design standards, industry regulations and safety indications.
  • Support PEEK PRIO case queue, complex implant design/planning/post-processing as needed.
  • Conduct customer-facing Design Sessions with customer stakeholders to deliver highly customized implants and service.
  • Manage a diverse range of product portfolios, ensuring timely updates for quality and indications.

Key skills:

  • Minimal supervision, working independently around assigned tasks but collaboratively within team to ensure commitments are completed.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our product suite, concepts, processes, and activities.
  • Applies professional knowledge and understanding to technical, quality driven, or business problem solving.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams such as R&D, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Experience in applying sound engineering methods to design and an ability to communicate intent, approach, and value to others.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software and similar Engineering software offerings.
  • Experience in conducting projects around driving process improvement, product feedback, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion.
  • Ability to present and conduct tailored custom designs in a live design session setting with key stakeholders. Preparing and working real-time with stakeholders to create and deliver design changes accordingly.
  • Ongoing regular tasks performed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
