Job description

The role

As a Data Analyst, you will support the delivery of analytics initiatives that underpin organisation‑wide strategic priorities. Working as part of a high‑performing data and analytics team, you will contribute to the tactical execution of projects across the team’s portfolio and help build and maintain data products that enable informed decision‑making.

This role is ideal for someone who has developed strong foundations through a graduate program or early‑career analytics role leading strategic initiatives in a hands‑on, stakeholder‑facing environment. You will partner closely with teams across the business to translate data into meaningful insights and contribute to scalable, value‑driven analytics solutions.

About you:

You are curious, proactive and data obsessed, someone who enjoys asking questions, taking initiative, and owning solutions from insight to impact. You’re a strong team player who thrives on collaboration and building trusted partnerships across the business.

You can tell a clear, compelling story with data, translating complex technical analysis into commercially focused insights that drive strategic decision‑making. Comfortable working in ambiguity, you balance curiosity with accountability and aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions to deliver real value.

You bring energy and positivity to your work and enjoy being part of a growing analytics team that the business actively seeks out as a partner.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate proactively with non‑technical stakeholders to support end‑to‑end analytics initiatives, delivering insights and flagging risks or dependencies early

  • Support cross‑functional collaboration by working closely with data, technology, and business teams

  • Demonstrate financial acumen when assessing the impact of existing initiatives and evaluating new opportunities

  • Translate business requirements into practical data analytics solutions that support strategic priorities

  • Contribute to the prioritisation, delivery, and continuous improvement of analytics projects within the team’s portfolio

  • Apply foundational and emerging advanced analytics concepts to solve business problems and support decision‑making

  • Develop data products, reports, and visualisations that enable stakeholders to interpret insights quickly and confidently

  • Build and deliver clear presentations and communications that explain analytical findings, assumptions, and implications to non‑technical audiences

  • Assist with data transformation, cleansing, and modelling to ensure analytics outputs are accurate, reliable, and well‑governed

What you need – required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Actuarial Studies, or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a data, analytics, or business intelligence role

  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language used in data analytics or data science (e.g. Python, R, Scala, Spark)

  • Experience using at least one business intelligence or analytics platform (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

  • Experience delivering large scale end-to-end analytics in cross-divisional transformation projects, with the ability to prioritize and manage scope.

  • Solid understanding of data transformation, data cleansing, relational databases, and data modelling concepts

  • Understanding of data governance principles, including documented definitions, calculations, data sources, and lineage

  • Experience communicating insights and analytical outputs to non‑technical stakeholders

  • Ability to apply analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving to real‑world business challenges

Preferred qualifications

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks

  • Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems

  • Proven ability to help track and articulate benefits delivered from data‑driven initiatives

  • Experience supporting analytics initiatives within Operations, Sales, and/or Marketing environments

  • Exposure to advanced statistical reasoning, exploratory data analysis, or hypothesis‑driven analysis

  • Experience contributing to analytics best practices, frameworks, or reusable data products

  • Experience working in a complex or enterprise data environment

  • Experience developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power Automate)
