Schedule:
6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday, OT as needed
As the Chief Maintenance Technician in our Instruments Division, you are responsible for providing maintenance & technical support to all manufacturing equipment relating to downs, repairs, projects, and preventative maintenance. This role is also responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of equipment, in compliance with regulation & standards.
What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot and assess all electrical problems, PLC diagnosis, motors, drives, encoders, and circuit schematics
- Works with minimal direct supervision and leads peers to accomplish technical production support tasks and troubleshooting
- Provide mentoring to other process specialists and MPLs within Instruments Campus to expand knowledgebase of technical processes
- Identifies, solves, and communicates equipment related maintenance issues and downs
- Completion of preventative maintenance on periodic schedules per documented procedures and work instructions, as business needs are demanded
- Work closely with engineering and operation teams to recommend, specify, and implement upgrades, replacements, and new equipment purchases
- Diligent in supporting and providing direction in all individual and team equipment downs, repairs, projects, PMs, and other work orders, and clearing roadblocks for other technicians
- Consults and acts as liaison of operations and engineering team with advanced operations to design and plan solutions for implementing new technology on production floor
What You Need
Required:
- A.A.S. In Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technology or related field, or
- Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 7 years of applicable experience
Preferred:
- 10+ years of in-depth electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Technical knowledge and understanding of machining, robotics, PLC, assembly process and custom test equipment
- 10+ years of relevant metal fabrication, manufacturing, process development, programming, equipment maintenance experience
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)
- Industrial Maintenance Certificate or similar
