Job description
The Buyer is responsible for executing procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials, services, and products while supporting quality, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The role works closely with planning, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure business continuity.
What You Will Do
Procurement Execution
Create and manage purchase orders in line with demand and supply plans
Ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production / customer requirements
Monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking
Supplier Management
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and performance
Track supplier KPIs such as on-time delivery, lead time adherence, and quality
Resolve supply issues, delays, and escalations proactively
Inventory & Planning Alignment
Collaborate with commercial and operations team to align procurement plans
Monitor inventory health and Purchase order aging to avoid excess and shortages
Support inventory optimization and working capital targets
Data & Process Management
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and controls
Analyze procurement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
What You Will Need
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Planning.
- English language proficiency.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in supplier relationship management.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost‑reduction methodologies.
