Position Summary
A new opportunity to join our new, greenfield manufacturing site in Skawina as Automation and Controls Engineer has become available! You will provide technical support for the site in the field of automation and proactively resolve technical issues. You will be a part of the wider engineering team in the delivery of continuous improvement initiative’s and strategic manufacturing improvements.
What will you do:
Provide day to day support to operations for Automation and Controls components within the manufacturing process.
Identify, evaluate & implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provide Technical leadership to the wider engineering team in the field of process automation.
Participate within project teams, provides technical support and makes informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection.
Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify where necessary automation software in line with the sites quality management system.
Develop, test and install control’s software as part of a highly automated and validated production environment.
Champion digital reporting tools and visualisations that are thorough, detailed and able to be comprehended by the end user
Develop User, Functional and Detailed Design Specifications.
Provide guidance on integrating, testing, evaluating and modifying automated systems and seeing the process through from beginning to end.
What you need:
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field with equivalent technical experience.
Has minimum of 4-6 years, software and controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions for complex problems through automation systems knowledge.
Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of Automation and or Digitalisation projects.
Strong technical background is essential for this role (PLC, HMI, Robotics, GAMP, GMP).
Understanding of FDA, BSI and regulatory software validation requirements
Preferred
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls systems
Some experience of scripting programming languages
Some experience of Object Orientated Programming and SQL Server DB design
Working knowledge of Ignition SCADA platform and Cognex vision systems is beneficial.
