Job description

The Associate Manufacturing Supervisor (Second Shift) supports daily second-shift production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. This role provides frontline leadership to manufacturing associates and helps coordinate production activities to ensure devices are manufactured in compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements. The position emphasizes hands-on leadership on the production floor, execution of production schedules, and consistent adherence to standard work, while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This is an onsite position in Phoenix, AZ supporting second-shift (1pm - 10pm).

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and support a team of production associates within assigned manufacturing areas to achieve daily safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and engagement goals.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to provide real-time support, remove barriers, and help ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Ensure associates are properly trained and consistently follow approved manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, safety practices, and standard work.
  • Coordinate daily production activities based on product demand, equipment readiness, and material availability to support schedule attainment.
  • Monitor production performance, staffing, and workflow, and communicate operational updates, issues, and escalations to manufacturing leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and HR to resolve issues impacting production flow, compliance, and team performance.
  • Support performance management activities including coaching, feedback, timecard review, time-off coordination, and corrective actions in partnership with HR.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and safety initiatives to improve efficiency, sustain standard work, and address non-conforming or unsafe conditions.

What You Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years of post-graduate manufacturing experience or 8 years of manufacturing in lieu of a degree
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
