Stryker is seeking a Associate Manufacturing Engineering Manager to support and manage manufacturing engineers in San Jose, CA.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Will be responsible for managing a team of 4+ manufacturing engineers.
Coordinates and manages the planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes, and operations.
Drives continuous improvement and lean principle adoption increasing safety, quality, cost.
Coordinates the program management office as it relates to executing manufacturing engineering projects.
Manages, coaches, develops the activities of manufacturing engineers and/or technicians.
Plans, organizes and sets goals for the manufacturing engineering function to best utilize talent.
Balances engineering resources allocated to tactical line support.
Sets overall group goals and priorities and evaluates team performance, including performance management, based on those goals/priorities.
Closely collaborates with Advanced Operations in the transfer of new products.
Represents plant manufacturing in regional and global continuous improvement forums.
Will advance the digital strategy and automation of the shop floor
Leverages lean principles to reduce waste in the manufacturing value stream.
Will submit periodic reports on areas of responsibility including plant metrics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree
6+ related work experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
1 + years supervisory experience
Experience with lean tools and continuous improvement
Experience with SCADA, MES, PLM, ERP, NC/CAPA systems
Experience generates and explain detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures
