Job description

We’re looking for an Associate Manager, CNC Engineering to lead a team driving innovation in the development and execution of world-class CNC processes for life-changing medical devices.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be a key part of our Product Transfer team - guiding process development, mentoring engineers, and ensuring our CNC machining capabilities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You'll work across functions to bring new products to life, shape our CNC strategy, and influence the future of medical device manufacturing.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead CNC engineering operations with a focus on multi-axis machining Swiss Turning, and Turn-Milling
  • Manage CNC equipment strategy—including specification, procurement, installation, and CE-compliant commissioning
  • Drive process development, optimization, and validation in a regulated medical device environment
  • Mentor and coach engineers and CNC programmers, fostering technical growth and collaboration
  • Develop and refine CNC programs using G-code, FANUC, Siemens, Mazatrol and Mitsubishi
  • Leverage CAM and simulation tools to enhance efficiency, safety, and part quality
  • Apply GD&T, SPC, MSA, and validation techniques to ensure robust, repeatable processes
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and EU Machinery Directive standards
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and share best practices across global teams

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field
  • 6+ years of experience in CNC engineering, ideally in medical devices or other regulated industries
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
  • Deep knowledge of CNC machining, programming, and process control
  • Familiarity with CE marking, EU Machine Directives, and machine safety standards
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • English fluency in speaking and writing
