What you will do:
Technical / Managerial Responsibilities

  • Drives functional excellence initiatives, delivers high quality R&D functional 
  • Deliverables, and ensures technical excellence for product or technology development.  Drives technical projects of major magnitude and scope 
  • Provides significant guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches. 
  • Ensures continued intellectual property development from self and staff. 
  • Owns intellectual property development for the product line and technologies. 
  • Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high-quality staff. 
  • Develops and monitors department budgets Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources. 
  • Co-ordinates sessions with project managers/core team leaders to look for opportunities for staff to learn about new initiatives or volunteer on new projects. 
  • Drives the development of department tools and methodologies. 
  • Determines project staff assignments and schedules work to meet completion dates and R&D deliverables. Establishes cross-functional team relationships. Provides an overview of the function and role of his/her group, technical skill sets 

Business Responsibilities:
 

  • Drive financial accountability across direct team. Participate in cost center budget creation, projections, and tracking activities.
  • Contribute and execute customer facing activities like Voice of Customer and customer centric design in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Med Device Compliance:
 

  • Lead a team and cross-functional counterparts to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for a specific project/program.
  • Follow and set example for others on procedures and design controls.
  • Review and approve (or delegate) program / project specific technical documentation and deliverables.
     

What you will need:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or applicable technical field.
  • 12+ years applicable experience, with 4+ years direct people management experience preferred.
  • Good level of understanding of experience in, and ability to mentor in one's own technical / functional disciplines.
  • Overall 12+ years of experience on digital platforms developing complex and advanced mobile applications on iOS(primary) and Android (Secondary). 

Technical Expertise:

  • Must have hands-on experience with the most up-to-date Swift version, and can mix it with Objective-C
  • Must possess knowledge of App Security and Cryptography
  • Must have worked with Agile Methodologies
  • Implementation of understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous concepts
  • Knowledge about Azure cloud platforms preferred. 
  • Experience with Medical domain preferred.
  • Good communication skills and fluent in English
  • Must be good at Technical Leadership with an ability to quickly adapt to the latest technology trends

Leadership Experience:

  • Talented performance coach who is skilled at providing actionable feedback to team members, setting clear performance objectives and managing team member performance.
  • General knowledge of the healthcare market and competitors.
  • Experience executing a talent and performance management strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate plans and technical information to team members within a business unit.
  • Proven ability to deliver programs or other business goals on time, on quality and within budget.
