Job’s Mission
The mission of the Associate manager MDM is to ensure that the processing of Vendors and Integrations are performed in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with Stryker policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations. This role will look at opportunities to further optimize and professionalize our master data process and organization. This role will also support the needs of the business by providing analysis and insight into MDM related financial trends as well risks and opportunities that may have an impact on financial and operational performance. And finally, you work with the other departments within the PFC organization to monitor the control environment, and supervise that audit requests are delivered in due time.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Leads the day to day operation of the VDM team, setting on-going individual and team objectives, prioritizing work, and optimizing resources to meet or exceed SLA’s
- Support the teams as the process SME to develop the staff process knowledge and provide guidance when working through complex cases.
- Supports staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and taking effective actions to address performance matters
- Ensure compliance of activities performed by the teams (Group policies, internal controls, Tax reporting)
- Represents the MDM function for all audits (external and internal)
- Lead/support business requirements gathering, future state data maintenance process and data design for Master Data
- Support the cleansing, transformation, conversion, and remediation of data efforts across key business and master data domains.
- Implement data standards for key manager data domains in select metadata repository or tool.
- Lead or participate in projects to synchronize requirements across disparate systems to achieve single source of data.
- Work with business, technology and data stewards on driving data clean-up and validation efforts across various systems to achieve single sources of Master Data
- Identification, root cause analysis, prioritization, remediation planning and coordination, and execution of remediation projects/activities for data issues
- Ensure that system data documentation (metadata, dictionary, lineage) is maintained in accordance with established policies.
- Establish data quality requirements (timeliness, accuracy, completeness, accessibility) and appropriate metrics for monitoring.
- Establish and implement data maintenance KPIs and reporting.
- Understanding legal/compliance/regulatory issues impacting data
- Lead / support the development of business rules and translate into data quality rules for monitoring of Key Data Elements
- Support the development and maintenance of the technologies that automate data processes.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, IS or related discipline.
- Fluent spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus.
- Must have excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Exceptional skills in applicable Microsoft software programs
- Business Intelligence tools preferred (Microsoft reporting, PowerBi)
- Must be able to organize with the ability to prioritize work and keep accurate and detailed records.
- Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to use independent judgment effectively.
- Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
Work Experience
- Strong knowledge with Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or internal control concepts
- Good working knowledge of Oracle / SAP or any other ERPs
- Minimum experience of 3 years in a People management role
