What you will do
- Lead and develop team of Finance professionals supporting Royalties, including accruals, budgets, projections, and payments for the Joint Replacement and Trauma & Extremities divisions of Stryker
- Manage and review all journal entries and reconciliations for royalty activity during the monthly close
- Partner with finance leaders across Joint Replacement and Trauma & Extremities on business reviews of quarterly royalty payments
- Partner with AP and Treasury on processing of royalty payments
- Partner with FP&A group on royalties projections & budget
- Serve as primary Finance Business Partner to Intellectual Property, Legal Counsel, Marketing & R&D teams on matters relating to royalty contracts
- Serve as a business partner to the OUS royalty finance team on collaboration of contracts and resolving potential issues
- Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency.
- Function as an extension of the divisional team, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Manage critical projects and perform ad-hoc analyses to support Business Partner needs and Orthopaedics Group
What you need
- Bachelor's degree, Master’s preferred
- 6+ years’ experience in Accounting and/or Finance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Excel
- Experience in cross-functional partnering
- Strong experience with Oracle & JDE (preferred).
- Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently
- Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead projects to completion
