Job description

Position summary:

  • This position will be leading the deployment, ongoing maintenance, operation, and optimization of our suite of cybersecurity tools in China. This role is critical in ensuring the effective performance and reliability of our cybersecurity infrastructure, with a particular focus on tools that protect the China IT environment.

  • In addition, this position also entails ensuring the security and integrity of our manufacturing sites in China. This involves developing and implementing specialized security measures tailored to the unique needs of a manufacturing environment.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

Cybersecurity Tool Delivery

  • Implement cybersecurity solutions across our local IT infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of security systems.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity solutions, suggesting improvements as needed.

  • Provide technical expertise in the deployment of new security technologies and upgrades.

Cybersecurity Tool Management

  • Manage and oversee the daily operation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools, including EDR solution, SIEM system, vulnerability scanning platform, and other security applications.

  • Ensure that all cybersecurity tools are up-to-date, functioning correctly, and optimized for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Regularly assess and tune the performance of security tools to maintain optimal operation.

  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of security tools within our IT infrastructure.

  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards, especially in relation to tool performance and maintenance.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all cybersecurity tools.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues related to the cybersecurity tools.

  • Document maintenance procedures and maintain logs of all maintenance activities.

  • Stay informed about new threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring our tools are prepared to defend against evolving cyber threats.

Manufacturing Site Security

  • Develop and implement security measures tailored to the manufacturing environment.

  • Regularly assess the security posture of manufacturing sites, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and security teams to ensure a unified approach to physical and digital security.

  • Conduct training sessions for manufacturing staff on security best practices and emergency response protocols.

  • Stay informed about emerging threats in manufacturing security and update strategies accordingly.

Education & special trainings:

  • BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent

  • One or more security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or GIAC, etc., are preferred

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience is required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cyber Security

  • Strong working knowledge of security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability management, EDR solution, email security solution, etc.

  • Experience working with third-party providers.

  • Strong Communicator with a proven track record of success when working with IT stakeholders.

  • Experience driving change within an organization or workgroup.

  • Knowledge to develop and interpret standards, policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of security solutions.

  • Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) security and understanding of manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

Physical & mental requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and identify Information Security solutions to challenging business problems

  • Demonstrated ability to manage/organize

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills

  • Able to write and communicate in English
