(Associate) Mako Product Specialist, Russia 

We are looking to hire a Mako Product Specialist to provide clinical product support to end users of our pioneering Mako Robotic Surgery products across Russia. In this role, you will provide on-site guidance and assistance during surgical procedures, deliver training and ongoing customer education, and support account launches to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction. This opportunity would suit someone with theatre experience, or a background in Physio, Sports Medicine, Radiography, Nursing, Biomedical Science, Clinical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or medical device product support.  

What You Will Do 

  • Support account launches by partnering with dealer representatives, Stryker Sales, Marketing, Service, and local Mako teams to ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.  

  • Train and provide clinical support to surgeons and operating room staff on Mako applications, associated equipment, and instruments to support precise implant placement.  

  • Use proprietary software to prepare pre-operative CT scans, supporting implant planning, sizing, and positioning in conjunction with the Mako System.  

  • Provide real-time clinical product support and on-site guidance during Mako surgical procedures.  

  • Manage and maintain local Mako equipment, instruments, implants, and disposable inventories in partnership with local teams.  

  • Work with Radiology and IT departments to complete DICOM image transfer installations.  

  • Continuously build clinical and Mako system knowledge through ongoing training, recertification, and support for new product introductions.  

  • Act as a Mako product expert, supporting customer visits, demonstrations, roadshows, and new product introduction activities in partnership with Marketing.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital stakeholders, dealer representatives, and local business partners.  

  • Provide case coverage at Mako accounts and submit detailed reports, case reviews, service updates, customer feedback, and recommendations for product, documentation, or process improvements 

  • Communicate customer feedback and system issues promptly through the company’s regulatory processes  

  • Support the RAQA team with Mako registration processes, including clinical approbations  

What You Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical, clinical, engineering, biomedical, or related field preferred.  

  • Previous experience in Nursing, Medical Practice, Biomedical Science, Medical or Clinical Engineering, Radiography, Physio, Sports Medicine, Account Management, Sales, Product Support, or the medical device industry.  

  • Comfortable working in an operating room environment.  

  • Strong customer service mindset, with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills  

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse written specifications and support customers with appropriate product selections.  

  • Good working knowledge of office technology and business systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, ERP systems, file management, and record maintenance.  

  • Ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.  

  • Based in, or willing to be based in, Moscow.  

Ideal Background 

This role would be well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the clinical environment, is confident working with surgeons and hospital teams, and has a strong customer service mindset. A background in theatre, radiography, physiotherapy, sports medicine, clinical applications, medical engineering, nursing, biomedical science, or medical device product support would be particularly relevant.
