Accountant

Job description

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

What will you do:

• Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities.

• Investigate and resolve unsupported balances.

• Provide support to business on request related to journal/recon backups.

• Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses.

• Financial Statement analysis.

• Prepare journal entries calculations.

• Perform month end closing process and any request as necessary

• Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP.

• Performs other related work to accounting cycle.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field

• MS Office Suite

• Intermediate excel level (pivot table, formulas, charts)

• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.

• SAP, Oracle or QAD systems knowledge is a big plus

• 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a finance/accounting function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems

• Experience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization will be an added advantage
