Job description

The Job’s Mission:

Have you always wanted to work for one of the world's best employers in medical technology and an award-winning Great Place to Work Belgium?

As Account Manager, you will help us deliver on our mission of making healthcare better by promoting and selling Stryker’s Joint Replacement product portfolio – in the region of Oost-Vlaanderen in Belgium.

Our Joint Replacement division offers market-leading implants for the hip and knee that help improve patient and hospital outcomes with procedural excellence. Additionally, in this position, you will support the sales cycle of our innovative Mako Robotics in your respective region. The Mako robot enables surgeons to have a more predictable surgical experience and shorter recovery times for patients compared to manual hip/knee procedures.

If you are passionate about healthcare, this is a great opportunity to join one of the largest medical technology organizations in the world!

Your key responsibilities:

  • In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase with product trainings to learn about the product portfolio and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will identify, analyze and prospect new customers, while providing ongoing service to existing customers.

  • You will plan and implement strategies in the sales process and conduct negotiations including with surgeons, hospital administration and purchasing departments.

  • With the product knowledge you have built up, you advise and train medical and surgical professionals on its use during demonstrations. You will also provide clinical support in the operating theater when needed.

  • You will participate congresses, seminars and business meetings to identify potential new customers and to expand your knowledge for customer contact.

  • You will prepare orders for interested customers and be a reliable partner for our customers during order follow-up.

  • Furthermore, you will work closely with other team members in Belgium and with the Sales Manager – to ensure customer service levels are best in class.

What are we looking for?

  • You already have demonstrable sales experience preferably in industries such as MedTech, Pharmaceuticals, BioTech, healthcare or related.

  • Orthopedics knowledge is not mandatory, but it is an advantage.

  • You hold a diploma/degree preferably in fields such as business, physiotherapy, nursing, healthcare, or in any other relevant areas.

  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written Dutch and English is required.

  • You hold a valid driver’s license as this position involves regular customer visits.

Competencies:

  • Drive: you have a strong enthusiasm for healthcare – your resilience and passion for selling technical products with the best possible customer service is very important to you!

  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills: you appreciate contact with a wide variety of people and have a talent for building and maintaining connections. You also consider yourself a great team player.

  • Empathy: you understand our customers’ needs to support our mission of making healthcare better!

What do we offer?

  • We grow talent: we offer great personal and internal career development for our employees, with the possibility to make both vertical and lateral position movement.

  • Quality products that improve the lives of our customers and patients.

  • Competitive salary: with us, you will receive a competitive salary and benefit package including a corporate car, pension plan, hospitalization plan, etc.

  • Team spirit & engagement: our team is energetic, engaged and has a lot of potential. We create inclusive teams that encourage colleagues to share their diverse perspectives and opinions.

  • Recognition of your performance: at Stryker, outstanding individual and cross-functional team performance is rewarded. Ideas, projects, or other exceptional achievements can be submitted for various awards on a local and global level.

  • Ability to discover your strengths, follow your passion and own your career.

  • Flat hierarchies and a culture driven to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable results.
