Position profile: Oversee installation for wireless connectivity projects. Support all wireless connectivity business pre and post-sale and installations.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Support the connectivity sales team with wireless trails / demo’s & beta site installations
  • Work with customer to setup Stryker requirements for servers and device securities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for diagnosing and troubleshooting customer wireless connectivity issues.
  • Act as quality control for the end of line after each bed has been activated or upgraded to inspect for functionality, safety and quality of the product prior to returning it to service.
  • Lead and support the wireless installation team when in the field on a project.
  • Continuously evaluate supporting systems for accuracy and enhancements which could be made to promote knowledgeable support and information provided to all customers.
  • Participate in technical training classes, conventions, and other meetings as requested by the ProCare Operations Manager.
  • Accountable for all record keeping in CRM, SharePoint, and network folders as appropriate.
  • Committed to quality by striving for reliability in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.
  • Conduct post sale testing of device connectivity and provide design feedback to R&D if the current design demonstrates connection issues related to Stryker’s design or 3rd party restrictions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience/skills required:

  • High School Education or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Wireless networking infrastructure, wireless security, and Microsoft Server knowledge is required.
  • Electromechanical / electronic experience is required.
  • General hand tool knowledge and use is required.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to assist internal and external customers.
  • Project management skills.
  • Possess attention to detail.
  • Basic skills - Time management, interpersonal relations, stress management, people management, conflict management, customer service, Windows, MS Office, JDE.
  • Functional skills – New product introduction / organizational structure

Physical/safety requirements:

  • Ability to travel 50% or greater of work time.
  • May involve prolonged periods of stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as appropriate.
  • May be required to move materials up to 50 pounds, reach, push, or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities.
  • Coordination of eye, hand, and/or foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination/memory, reading ability, and memory retention ability.
  • Requires use of safety glasses in designated areas.
