We are currently seeking a Senior Software Design Assurance Engineer located near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

What You Will Do

  • You will support the design and development of software used within surgical robotics.
  • You will lead software risk analysis activities for software and ensure proper integration into the product level risk management file.
  • You will partner with the product development team in product security risk analysis.
  • You will provide guidance to the development team through Software Development and New Product Development process including demonstrating understanding of software lifecycle methodologies (Agile).
  • You will partner with software team to define validation requirements that will ensure appropriate level of rigor to software validation.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer or Software Engineer, preferably in a regulated design environment.
  • Experience with white-box testing – coding and development (LINUX / C, C++).

  • Test case development experience.

  • Knowledge of risk management highly preferred.

  • Prefer experience with medical device product development life cycle, including risk management and design/ process verification & validation.
  • Knowledge of FDA QSRs, ISO 13485 Design Control Procedures and ISO 14971 preferred.
