What you will do

Ensures an efficient operation of Stryker Mexico's warehouses and shipments, to provide the required services, including surgical procedures and guaranteeing final deliveries of sales orders to our customers. Responsibility on the inventory and on the sets of instruments granted to the client under the different modalities, under the quality standards and internal procedures, through the team leadership of the different stores.

Critical success factors / key deliverables:

1. Inventory Management

  • Manages and control the inventory, as well as shipments to customers and transportation suppliers, aimed to ensure a correct control of the inventory, and quality delivery services to customers.
  • Inventory management count and coordination, such an inventory counting analysis (cyclic / annual / wall to wall). Responsible of keeping the diferences in the allowed minimum. Procedure the inventory counting including DISTRIBUTION CENTERS, CONSIGNMENTS, FORWARD STOCK LOCATIONS, BROKER or LOGISTICS 3PLs and potentially virtual temporary locations.Manages and coordinates demo equipment inventory.
  • Material Destruction Coordination.
  • Creates reporting of inventory differences and counting in coordination with regional guidance and local and corporate financial requirements.

2.  Local Shipments Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate deliveries of orders to achieve the objective of the defined service level or ON TIME TO PROMISE, maintain and file related documentation, appropriately.

3. Surgical Performance and Instrumental Sets Control

  • Achieve the plan of surgeries scheduled for the day, optimizing the resources tending to ensure a quality service.
  • Responsible for the surgery sets to be delivered on time and complete to the different customers; ensuring that each movement will be registered at the system.
  • Guarantees the correct and complete assembly of instrument sets, as well as replacement for pieces of instruments reported as damaged.
  • Control and monitoring of instrumental kit sets delivered on consignment to customers and instrumental kit sets available at warehouse.
  • Guarantee correct management of reverse logistics related to surgeries.

4. Product Receiving

  • Responsible for the correct registration of the entry of the products into the system, when Stryker receives the product in the Warehouse from customs, ensuring that each receipt meets the indicated parameters.

5. Warehouse Internal Transactions and Exports

  • Accountable for the replenishment and movements between warehouses and locations
  • Authorize and make transfers of products in inventory between different locations and different stores.
  • Supply other warehouses and consignments in the country.
  • Authorizes product transfers in inventory between different locations.
  • Prepare products for exports or return to origin as needed.

6. Transportation

  • Coordinates local transportation of all transactions and all products and instruments, on time and always looking for ways to recude tranportation costs.

    Reverse logistics: coordination and execution of implants and instrumental withdrawal in time with consumption control and missing Instrumental or prothesis as needed.

7. Team development

  • Lead the Transportation, Logistics and Kitroom teams or personnel.
  • Continous improvement of employee engagement of his team, mesured by Q12 survey.
  • Training and development of Logistics, Kitroom team.
  • Participate in the hiring or restructuring processes of the team.

 8. Manage and assess 3PLs.

  • Responsible for managing and ensuring SLA compliance of transportation and warehousing third party logistics vendors.
  • Assess capacity and recommend improvements or changes in 3PLs

9. KPI/Costs

  • Ensure the achievement of  the service level goal
  • Strong cost control according to budget

10. Compliance

  • Conducts all business and affairs in compliance with laws and regulations, including the Anti-Corruption Practices Act (FCPA), the Stryker Code of Business Conduct, with the highest ethical principles.

What you need

Academic Degree / Level and Experience

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Industrial Engeneer or Logistics Administration.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience LEADING Operations Department especially in high-risk positions for the business: Logistics/ Planning / Purchasing / Operations/ Imports/ Customer service.

Key strengths / personal attributes for the role:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Proficientin Microsoft Office.
  • ERP knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the main business products and a good understanding of surgical and hospital dynamics.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate teams (3PL, domestic transportation).
  • Leadership.
  • People mgmt.
  • In association with the Operations Manager, it guarantees the development of team members, maintaining a high level of commitment and quality processes.
