The Role:

As Legal Counsel, you will join the team Sydney, NSW! In this role, you will ensure that Stryker South Pacific effectively and efficiently achieves its strategic and operational goals within the bounds of international, national and local laws and regulations, and industry specific corporate governance and compliance guidelines.

What You Will Do:

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on various types of contracts (including tenders), conduct legal analysis and assist in the provision of advice and information on laws, rules, regulations, and Stryker policies
  • Education and training of Sales and Marketing in relation to contract and tender processes
  • Assist in acquisitions and integrations alongside local and international teams 
  • General advice to the business as needed
  • Assistance with Company Secretarial function 
  • Maintain databases and contract registers
  • Assist the Stryker South Pacific Legal team as required on all legal matters affecting the business

What You Need:

  • Tertiary education/current practicing certificate 5-8 years post admission experience. Would suit a corporate/ commercial lawyer or similar qualifications looking to move in-house
  • Very strong contract drafting and contract review/analysis skill set
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at senior management and other levels
  • Very strong ethical, moral values and ability to act with high integrity and sensitively
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong Microsoft Office skills are essential
