  • Position summary:  

    The Learning Design and Development Vendor Management Specialist supports and plans the design and execution of key learning and development programs led by Stryker’s Talent Management Center of Expertise (COE).   

    This role is responsible for supporting leader of self, leader of people and process, and leader of organization programs.  This role works collaboratively with HR Business Partners and other Talent Management professionals to gain general direction and recommendations, establish appropriate action plans and drive execution of those plans.     

    Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description) 

    • Manage vendor relationships, partner with procurement to negotiate contracts, establish Service Level Agreements with external vendors 

    • Lead the identification and analyses of key metrics to determine overall effectiveness of talent management initiatives in support of Stryker’s strategic business goals.   

    • Establish ROI strategy and dashboard to support programs leveraging Survey Gizmo (Level I Reaction, Level II Retention, Level III Application, Level IV Business Impact) 

    • Participate in internal and external benchmarking studies and academic reviews to incorporate industry best practices, trends, and processes, and products / services into talent management practices  

    • Develop and maintain relationships within the Stryker Human Resources community, collaborating with HR leaders, business leaders, vendor partners and associated support staff to enhance employee learning and development. 

    Education & special trainings: 

    • ​​Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required.   

    • ​Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.​ 

    Qualifications & experience: 

    ​​Minimum of 4+ years professional experience in the areas of learning and development in a team-based environment, or related business experience. ​ 

    • ​Minimum 2 years of direct work experience in the areas of instructional design, organization development, training and development and/or talent management. 

    • ​Experience Preferred: 

    • ​Leadership development programs and processes, along with data analysis, reporting and improvement planning to drive positive business outcomes. 

    • ​Experience with curriculum and workshop design, and general OD tools and approaches. 

    • ​Proven experience working with large remote teams with a strong focus on developing trusted relationships with the business.  

    • ​Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation. 

    • ​Excellent analytical skills, ability to create Requests for Proposal, negotiate contracts, and the ability to package information in clear and concise executive level ready format 

    • ​Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment 

    • ​Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills​ 

    Physical & mental requirements:  

    • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.  Generally, involves sitting most of the time. 

    • Must be able to operate common office equipment (e.g. computer, printer, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.). 

    • Must be able to review printed and handwritten materials. 

    • Must be able to communicate telephonically and with large groups of people.
