Provides technical support to discovery and development of new product ideas or strategic product extensions. Participates in analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of product development scientists and engineers. Collects and classifies new product ideas. Captures specifications for product requirements and functionality.

  • Lead and communicate R&D project administration tasks such as providing detailed record keeping, creating and delivering project status updates, and updating overall metrics for the R&D Project Management team
  • Work collaboratively with the broader R&D team as an advisor on the project management methodology and project kick-off process
  • Will support facilitation of project reviews and the stage gate process as needed
  • May assume some system administration responsibilities for the R&D team
  • Maintain R&D SharePoint site including updating relevant project management documentation forms for use by the engineers and Project Managers
  • Facilitate cross-functional partnership to drive projects to completion both on time and within budget
  • Be responsible for understanding constraints and opportunities for improvement within the R&D Project Management team
  • Monitor progress, develop business summaries, and update leadership on regular basis
  • Analyze and edit business reporting with a focus on content, accuracy and layout
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required by the evolving needs of the business
  • Analyze business data, identifying and detailing trends and variances to both leadership and the Project Management team
  • Provide input on prioritization based on data

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Preferred PMP certification or equivalent
  • Preferred experience within a Medical or Engineering setting
  • Sedentary work: may exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects.  Generally involved sitting most of the time.
  • Coordination of eye, hand and foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination / memory, reading ability and memory retention ability.
  • Exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise.
  • Must be able to manage time, projects, stress and conflict.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
  • Must be able to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervisor.
  • Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
  • Must be able to analyze and correct complex process and/or product issues using independent judgement.
