Plans, directs and coordinates the external market analysis for product acquisitions, licensing deals, distribution agreements and other business arrangements with outside companies or individuals to bring new products or technology to Stryker Instruments. Will also help business units develop strategies for long term growth. Will also mentor and share best practices with peers in other divisions and the corporate office. Group, campus and/or corporate projects as required. Process owner for Initial Evaluation, Business Analysis and Proposal and Terms processes.
- Conducts investigation of potential product line, technology and company acquisitions.
- Responsible for opportunity analysis of market.
- Conducts market due diligence through surgical trials and solicitation of input of key thought leaders.
- Coordinates market research programs.
- Prepare or cooperate in the preparation of sales forecasts and in development of projected expense budgets.
- Responsible for coordinating presentations and CER's to obtain approval to move projects forward.
- Negotiates M&A target deals transactions.
- May coach and develop team members
- Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines and procedures.
- Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine product issues using independent judgment.
- Must be able to routinely make decisions which may affect business unit operations and financials and have a divisional effect.
- 10+ years related sales, marketing, business development experience preferred, other relevant experience considered.
- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
