Focusing on R2R to have CI as a key element of the way of work by:

  • Continuous improvement of R2R processes to manage out service imperfections to the benefit of key stakeholders.
  • Content management of knowledge materials to evolve and improve SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) to drive better understanding of the, processes, use of tools, and resources provided in support of service delivery.
  • Deployment of new ways of working in R2R in consultation with Business Finance and relevant key stakeholders to the benefit of service experience.
  • Applying knowledge of internal/external business challenges to provide input into recommendations for improvements to processes or services, continue to ensure the adoption of fundamental business drivers within the company.
  • Managing the implementation of continuous improvement projects 
  • Coach the leadership and management teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools 
  • Develop modules & deliver all training requirements for R2R teams in the areas of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology.  
  • Track improvement project deliverables, and manage risks, effectively communicating progress with Key Internal Stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Actively develop your internal and external lean six network to bring new initiatives and insight on Lean Six Sigma to the Shared Services Centre 

The Europe Financial Shared Service Center (EFSSC) is the preferred business partner to support Stryker’s mission, vision and values in Stryker Europe. This will require Finance to focus on providing financial services and support, deliver value added finance service to support the business at Stryker Europe. It is Finance’s responsibility to assist the business in taking unnecessary costs out of its healthcare delivery system, achieve better economies of scale in the utilization of resources and leverage activities across functions and geographies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Finance will be a best in class function, comprised of ethical, talented and engaged people, with efficient processes and effective controls that support our functions and customers. 

Key Activities & Accountabilities

You as the Continuous Improvement Associate Manager your key duties, responsibilities, and activities will include:

Process Improvement:

  • Implement continuous improvement programs to ensure vertical and horizontal integration across organization.
  • Help leadership team progress by coordinating actions to ensure improvement.
  • Collaborate for effective solutions with other functions and departments.
  • Help identify and remove barriers to implementation of continuous improvement.
  • Perform time observations, create and maintain standard work sheets, standard work combination sheets, percent load
  • Charts, plant visual controls, driver measure boards and other metrics.

Knowledge Management:

  • Create continuous improvement training materials/modules and teaching (OJT).
  • Roll up and monitoring of business metrics and reporting to management and leadership teams.
  • Coaching site employees on relevant tools and their application.
  • Train and coach process owners in the use of lean and statistical tools, approaches and techniques to create process
  • Management and measurement systems and develop an operational excellence mind-set at the department level.

Communication and facilitation:

  • Continue to define and implement improvement projects aligned with business strategies, to all relevant stakeholders/organizations.
  • Lead workshops to understand process and apply continuous improvements.
  • Define the scope and financial justification of improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor progress of continuous improvement within each organization.
  • Communicate new ways of working/strategies throughout the Finance organization and throughout the business.
  • Ensuring employee experience is positive throughout all changes/communications in the business.

Business Driver:

  • Participate actively in any change/improvement discussions, contributing as per experience of any internal/external
  • challenges in your field.
  • Have a clear understanding of the fundamental business drivers of the company and use this knowledge in your work.
  • Assist with change strategy development and the implementation into the organization.
  • Assess and analyze the change impact.
  • Identify any anticipated resistance from the business.

good experience in facilitation it means, skills to lead workshops understand process and apply continuos improvements.

Education and experience

Required: Primary Degree

Skills/Knowledge Required/Preferred:

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting processes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Background in Lean and Six Sigma
  • Strong listening & comprehension skills.
  • Strong orientation toward Innovation & Creativity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building & maintaining.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up; strong analytical skills together with developed business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and collaborate / partner with others from across the business
  • Strong IT skills incl. advanced excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
