What you will do-

Work as a primary owner for US Demand planning needs for the Spine business. Collaborate with IBP, Marketing, Sales, and Field Inventory to ensure the right demand streams are considered for ensuring appropriate support for the US market.

  • Utilize Statistical baseline forecast in Demantra and provide business inputs to forecast modelers to improve the performance of statistical baseline forecast
  • Focus on exception management including phase-in and phase-out items, conversions & promotions and collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Finance business partners to collect and challenge the demand forecast
  • Maintain high quality demand forecasts in Demantra with value added override and complete demand planning cycle according to Global IBP calendar
  • Review KPIs to proactively identify misalignment between sales, marketing, financial & demand plans and seek consensus through the Executive Demand Review process to recommend appropriate actions plans.
  • Analyze data and create reports to support the business needs and provide better information for decision making- Also drive best practice sharing within the GDP community and collaborate with Forecast Central team on developing standardized reports
  • Collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to understand relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence and define launch strategy and manage product life cycle implications to demand and inventory
  • Lead and participate in the development, modification and improvement of procedures, policies and processes regarding regional demand planning management
  • Identify goals and KPI targets to support corporate/department goals and KPI targets as directed and drive or lead the strategy to achieve forecast accuracy goals
  • Ensure alignment of local demand planning process, system and metrics reporting to the corporate guidance document for demand planning and drive the best practice sharing, across regional collaboration and change management
  • Participate in the development, modification and improvement of policies and processes within the Demand Planning organization
  • Support the implementation of ERP-based forecast systems, as well as reporting and continuous improvement of forecasting systems in collaboration with the Forecast Central team
  • Direct team members toward achieving daily, weekly and monthly goals; track performance and provide timely feedback to the team
  • Lead Demand Review and Executive Demand Review at divisional level as well as participate in Global Business Unit IBP meetings and Executive IBP meetings
  • Serve as the primary contact for cross-functional business partners from the Division, and the Integrated Business Planning and IP&M teams

What you need-

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Engineering or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years of business experience in following disciplines is required: Supply Chain Planning, Demand Management/Forecasting, Sales Operations/Planning, Operations, Finance/Accounting, or Marketing
  • Experience with PowerBI platforms and advance Excel skills required
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role required

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or related degree is highly preferred 
  • APICS, IBF, CSCMP, Lean Manufacturing Training, Process Excellence, Six Sigma Tools or other professional certification in Supply Chain concepts is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Oracle, or equivalent) and Demand Planning statistical modeling tools (Demantra).
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences or highly regulated industries preferred
