What you will do:

  • As the user experience designer, you will be leading user and design research including usability studies, ethnographic field research, user surveys, prototype testing and competitive product analysis.
  • You are a strategic thinker and can apply research to create and improve user experience within the healthcare space.
  • You will assist in the creation of guidelines for user interfaces in order to simplify the user interaction and improve efficiency in products across the entire patient journey.
  • As the user experience designer, you will be leading user and design research including usability studies, ethnographic field research, user surveys, prototype testing and competitive product analysis.
  • You are a strategic thinker and can apply research to create and improve user experience within the healthcare space.
  • You will assist in the creation of guidelines for user interfaces in order to simplify the user interaction and improve efficiency in products across the entire patient journey.
  • Research healthcare professional roles and responsibilities, and understand the current state of patient care
  •  Conduct ethnographic research to determine key problem areas for healthcare providers
  •  Build qualitative and quantitative user tests for new and existing digital products utilizing user research methodologies
  •  Interpret and translate product requirements into meaningful user experiences
  • Collaborate with other designers to build optimal solutions for patient care
  • Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for Stryker applications
  • Collaborate and share research with peers, stakeholders, and potential customers
  • Monitor and assess new technologies for potential incorporation into existing products
  • Capably and consistently meet project deadlines
  •  Research healthcare professional roles and responsibilities, and understand the current state of patient care

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required
  • 5+ years UX experience for web and mobile products
  • Strong command of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, and color discernment
  • Demonstrable UX portfolio showing experience is desired
  • Must be able to effectively communicate design rationale verbally and visually to team members
  • Familiarity with modern design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.)
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new technologies.
  • Ability to draw storyboards to refine concepts a plus
  • Experience working in an agile development environment a plus
