The Job's Mission

As a Territory Sales Manager you will be primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for your territory, which will be North East London. You will represent Stryker as a leader in our industry, building and maintaining strong business relationships with all key stakeholders.

As part of a highly successful team, you will manage Stryker Centres of Excellence and will be expected to engage with surgeons, hospital management and other healthcare professionals (HCPs), at the highest level. You will be required to manage existing business with exceptional customer service while identifying new sales opportunities and ultimately converting these into new business. You will be responsible for communicating with customers on a variety of topics including the safe and effective use of Stryker products, new product launches, advancements in technology and educational programs. You will have responsibility for the full Stryker Spine product portfolio.

The Territory Sales Manager is a field based role responsible for driving sales in your sales territory where you will be responsible for developing relationships with users of the Stryker Spine portfolio.

Your key focus will be to manage existing business through account management of established customers, while hunting down new business opportunities within the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer service / acquisition of new customers

Territory Planning, executing and monitoring of all measures necessary to guarantee achieving budget

This encompasses in particular:

  • Achieving the sales and margin targets for the territory
  • Driving growth in the territory through active constant customer engagement
  • Customer selection, targeted sales approach
  • Plan and execute on a quarterly and annual business plan, this will be showing management of existing revenue streams and customers, and driving acquisition across the territory generating growth
  • Control all resources and materials within territory
  • Customer care for physicians, surgical/theatre staff and hospital administration with the goal of achieving qualitative and sales-oriented consultation
  • Ensuring products are sold and revenue gains are established within the limits of in-house guidelines
  • Managing contracts and pricing agreements in the territory, working with RM and PM to ensure this is within the desired company bands
  • Representing Stryker to all levels of HCP, commissioners and managers in their territory
  • In-theatre training and support where required
  • Completing quotes / reporting as and when required

What are we looking for?

  • Preferably training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences, business or similar
  • Successful sales experience within Medical Devices (desired) or the NHS/similar industries
  • Verifiable success in sales (any experience is a must...Medical Device sales is desired)
  • Experienced in customer acquisition, shows ability to seek new business
  • Knowledge and experience in a commercial sales background preferably Medical Device sales or NHS lead sales.
  • Relationship building skills, has to be a natural relationship builder
  • Anatomical proficiency
  • Knowledge of a CRM system
  • Computer skills, MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Mobility

Travel Percentage: Up to 50%
